Wolves 1-3 Leeds: Verdict Thread

We are worse than everyone else. We are massively overrating our players.

Sa - Shite.
Jackson - Shite
Agbadou - playing shite
Mosquera - done nowhere near enough to get a reputation as being good
Toti - shite
R Gomes - massively overrated. I can’t think who he reminds me of, but he just looks “busy” without any top level ability and he’s weak as piss. The other WB we signed can’t make the squad and Hugo Bueno is the pick of the lot…

So we’re not doing so well with the defence so far.

Gomes and Andre - ok, but they aren’t winning you a game. Krejci can go here too, actually looks like a footballer which is more than can be said about the rest of the shit we’ve signed.

Bellegarde - shite
Munetsi/Hwang - fucking shite
Lopez - paid a fortune for a player with a handful of starts. He will be decent but we don’t have time. Gave it away constantly today.
Arias - how can you not get in this team? Shown nothing when he has.

Tolu - fits the stereotype of a striker signed from Belgium
JSL- even with the goals last season he can still look anonymous. Not really someone you play through. Needs service, doesn’t have it

And if I haven’t mentioned you yet, you aren’t getting a look in over this rabble so you’re definitely shite.
I was going to say harsh but fair, but it's not harsh. We got rid of a load of dross in the summer and filled the squad with more of the same. That in itself would be dreadful but in addition to the dross we got rid of our best defender and our two main attacking outlets.

Come on YW you’re better than that. By me saying we’ve competed last week i never said it was good enough but more that we could/should be doing better and it was on Vitor to do that.(Appreciate it doesn’t always come across well on a forum) We both know there’s issues behind the scenes but there’s still enough in this squad to win games like today for example. Leeds were no better than us but my god the goals we give away. Have to agree that it’s all on Vitor ultimately because he played Agba, brought on Munetsi and made Andre an outcast.

I was hopeful after last week that we could turn it around starting this week but after watching that today it’s going to take a miracle if the manager thinks that’s an acceptable way to approach a home game against what is essentially a Championship team. That being said, i think if Johnstone plays today we don’t concede 3 and if anyone plays instead of Agba we don’t either. Totally understand he’s the one picking them though.
I’m in exactly the same boat as you from last week to this week.

I was looking forward to a game where we had a realistic chance of winning. I mean, newly promoted team, not very good, low scoring, etc. We scored early enough with a decent goal and good to see Krejci score. Then after that we sat and invited loads of pressure from Leeds and did fuck all. Then we capitulated.

We turned our noses up at DCL but he put in a forwards performance far superior to anything we have. A word on the free kick he won for the 2nd - he was brought down inside the D, almost on the edge of the box but the free kick was taken from about 10 yards behind this in a far better position for the goal they scored. Taking nothing away from the quality of the finish though.

We were diabolical. I like Vitor and was so happy for him to stay but I am currently having serious doubts that he is anything other than a firefighter. We were laughed out of the stadium by Leeds ffs.

We are so pathetic and tinpot that we say we have no chance of getting Nuno (correct) but an equally inept West Ham have reportedly held talks with him though apparently favour Slaven Bilic over Nuno.

We are a fucking joke club from the top down and heading back to Championship mediocrity from whence we came and the 2018-2021 era will just seem like a dream

@Elephant Pyjamas were you there today?

I have been a season ticket holder nearly 40 years, only once before have I felt like giving up...that was Hoddle. Solbaaken came close but we got rid. VP, this club, these players...none of it brings any real enjoyment anymore.

There are no players in our squad that make you get out of your seat, even with misplaced optimism. No players that make you think they want to drag this club forward, it's football by numbers, devoid of any creativity or passion. It is boring, tepid, insipid, colourless, functional at best.

Andre went straight down the tunnel at full time. Whatever has gone on there it looks like he would rather be anywhere else.

Most of these players can't or won't do what is required. The manager is all over the place in his team selections. The club's owners are missing in action...or worse missing with inaction.

Apart from that, all is good.

Grim day. Grim. Amidst the wreckage some mouth breather sat in front of us decided to racially abuse our club doctor during the game, which met with hearty laughs around him. He wasn’t laughing heartily when my wife finished reprimanding him, and I doubt we’ll see him back, the piece of shit.

Miserable, miserable day.

I joined in with the Fosun and Shi chants today. The lack of engagement says everything about where the fan base is. Pathetic, passive and getting what they deserve
Even they were fairly half hearted. Need them to start up and keep going. Shi as far as I’m aware wasn’t sat in the Directors Box but hid himself away somewhere.

Not sure if it was picked up on TV, but at halftime Vitor and his team sat in the dugout for a good 5 minutes after the whistle trying to work out what the fuck to do before heading off to down the tunnel. Never seen that ever in football.

Tolu - tall but can't play football.
Tchatchoua - fast but can't play football.
Agbadou - thinks passing to an opponent is playing football.
Sa - thinks keepers using their hands isn't playing football.
Lopez - can play football, but only in Spain.

When Munetsi is one of your better players, you're in deep shit.

Putting it all into context defensively we were good v the dross or sides down to 10 men.
We conceded 3 v Forest, Chelsea, Newcastle, 4 against palace, 2 v Liverpool, Fulham, Brighton. Still brings into focus that we still struggled v good sides.

Worth reminding ourselves that with all due respect to Leeds they are a poor side and didn't play particularly well. They didn't have any luck. They didn't benefit from any big decisions. Their keeper didn't have a flukey worldie. None of that. We were just shit. Fucking shit.

First home game i could attend.

I couldn't have been less enthused geting into the car to drive to the ground.

I'm still baffled at what I watched. How anyone scouting half this team would even mark them as a competent footballer let alone Premier League quality.

As for Vitor I'd probably just bin him now. Unlike last year not sure there's enough quality for anyone to keep up but feels like we may aswell roll the dice.

The days of me living my life around Wolves have today/yesterday well and truly gone. Was going to put aside a Tommy Hingley gig and a Inspiral Carpets meet and greet for a couple of Wolves games in December. Yesterday I thought fuck that and went and brought the tickets. I used to love my football team but the day Nuno got sacked each day after that has took another breath out of my body.

What has happened since has been quite frankly embarrassing and shocking. The man that took over from Nuno (Lage) can't figure for the life of me sold or sent on loan all three of Coady, Boly and Saiss in one fucking pre season. After that Lopetegui's treatment of both Raul and Joao was massively out of order, fuck thanking the twat for saving us that year, he's not getting that off me. Then O'Neil came in and hudwinked us in thinking he was the next Alex Ferguson and now Pierera, all started off nicely and he also did a Lopetgui, but after this summer transfer window has left us with me thinking we have a total fraud on our hands. Nothing is going to get any better I don't think then that Europa League team of 2020.

Almost time for me too sign off and I watched John Paskin and Paul McGlougin lead the attack in the early 90's. Been a good ride.
