Butcher bemoaning injury issues.

I don't think we have won a cup game (in 90 minutes) under Kenny? Which is a poor record and we have generally given limp performances. I hope we have a combination of exciting young players and fringe players looking to stake a claim for a first team appearance.

McCarey

Doherty
EEL
Hause
Golbourne/Rowe

Graham
Price
Evans
Ojo

Le Fondre
Bright/Afobe

Subs: Ikeme, Stearman, Iorfa, McDonald, Edwards, Dicko, Bright/Afobe

McCarey

Doherty
EEL
Hause
Rowe

Graham
Price
Evans
Ojo

Le Fondre
Bright

That will do me.

KJ said that Wallace and Saville might play for the u21s next Saturday.

Mccarey
Doherty
EEL
Hause
Rowe
Van La Parra
Price
Evans
Graham
Le Fondre
Bright

Is the team I'd pick. I expect Ojo instead of Graham though. Despite our complete lack of effort in the cups for over a decade I actually expect us to win this!

Yeah, van la Parra should start thinking about it. Graham on the bench maybe.

Forgot about him. Stick him in for Graham.

Maybe even play Ronan instead of Evans too.

total bollocks, it's pre-season field the full side , fuck Newport off, and then have a days rest before the league game...it's August not May/

McCarey

Doherty Stearman (c) EEL Rowe

Price Coady

van La Parra Wallace Ojo

Le Fondre

SUBS: Ikeme, Hause, Iorfa, McDonald, Edwards, Afobe, Ronan

If Wallace isn't fit then play Ronan and put Henry on the bench.

Nice mix of experience & youth. More importantly it's a team which should have no trouble beating Newport County.

You have to factor in that Wolves are shit in the Cup, so we could put out our 1st team and lose.

Personally I don't think Ken will make many changes. Give Stearman and Hause more time together. Can see the forwards (ALF and Bright) and wide players (VLP & Ojo) changing but not the defence or central mid.

I think Alfie will play as he's going to have a weekend off in a couple of weeks anyway, he can't play vs Cardiff. EEL will probably get a game as we won't want him just sitting on the bench forever.

We have lost to so many teams well below us over the years.

Its 5 days till the Hull game so no massive need to change vast amounts. Agree with ALF & Bright up from as there's no need to wear out the main strike force, they'll be on the bench if we need them. Bright will then have a very experienced player up with him.

Would keep Ikeme in as from what I've heard/and little I've seen he was a bit rusty yesterday so another 90 mins would help. Goalkeepers don't have to run around a lot, so can't see he can claim he's tired

Not for one minute would I risk our best players getting injured - so no Iorfa, Stearman, Coady, KMac, Dicko, Afobe and even Dangerous Dave for me

I'm sure we beat Aldershot on penalties 3/4 years ago in a game before the league season started

I think it was Forde that got the winning penalty
