Crystal Palace (H) 30/10 Build-up & Match Thread

Personally I'd really like to see us take this game to Palace, they'll be more expansive than Newcastle so gaps should be there to exploit. Same team for me barring Ait-Nouri in for Saiss. Saiss has done his best and hasn't let us down there but he's no LWB and it was blatantly obvious during the first half against Newcastle he was limiting us down that side through no fault of his own. Kilman has done more than enough to keep the shirt so that would be the only change I'd make, I think it would give us enough to overpower them and take the game to them.

Don't want to see Adama starting and preferably would like to see Neto and Podence complete the full 90, I don't think Adama is offering anything at the moment and he's certainly not changing games let alone influencing them.

Palace's form is patchy at best so play our cards right and we should win, although admittedly nothing is a given lately.

Controversially, I think I’d like to see Adama start this one.
Admittedly, he’s been poor in all his cameos so maybe he needs a start to see what he can do.
Id start him over Podence who, in my opinion, has done very little every time I’ve seen him.
I know he’s popular and I’m a little unsure as to why - lots of tricks (a la Vinagre) but no threat in front of goal and link play has been poor. Not seeing this guy at all, myself.

Marcel starts at LCB or not at all. He doesn’t look any more a LWB to me than Saiss. Might have played there in the French league but that’s Championship stuff. I’d give Ait Nouri a start if he’s ready.

if we’re on our game, we beat Palace. If we play like we did on Sunday, I think they’ll turn us over - they’ll create a lot more than Newcastle.

Same back three for me, Ait-Nouri at LWB. I'd give the current front three another chance, mainly as I don't think we'll start Fabio and Adama has been getting worse with every appearance.

If that was guaranteed then I would whole heartedly agree with you, but running into blind alleys and out of play is equally as unproductive, I would rather pay you to stand on the half way line with your hands on your hips

Your thinking is right but I would have Podence in the 10 place and Neto alongside Raul to start.

Doesn’t matter what system or personnel we play if the tactics are still reserved/pragmatic.

If the forwards Play wide and the WBs deep then it makes no difference, we’d still be relying on something special from an individual(s) or a set piece.

Neves, Saiss, Costa, Cav used to play in a ‘box’ formation in the championship with Douglas and Doc playing wide or inverting into the space if the forward pulled wide (literally how 3-4-3 is supposed to be played). Just do this again please.

I’m worried that Nuno will keep playing Saiss at lwb as he doesn’t want to drop either him or Kilman rather than doing what will help the team most. He’ll be happy we nearly got another clean sheet so I expect an unchanged team.

I'll be paying the £15. I want to watch my team and - for work reasons - I just can't condone an illegal stream. So £15 on Friday and it looks like about £100 up to Xmas
