Live Match Discussion: 2020/21

Not sure I've seen a player have such a turnaround in form as Anguissa at Fulham. He was utterly woeful two years ago, but has carried on from where he left off at Villareal and looks like some player nowadays. Exactly the sort of player I'd like to see us bring in.

That's a great shout Nando, certainly play him instead of Donk.

Fulham in general are improving nowhere near as bad as some were suggesting.

They recruited well at the end of the window. Still not great but I think that is more down to the manager personally

Anguissa is a player, definitely the sort of player i would like us to have. Wonder if Otasowie could do something similar although he's definitely not as good technically.

Bit harsh on Parker i think YW, they did recruit well but they've not really got a fantastic squad still and from the games i've seen in the last 2 months they should have more points but haven't finished teams off.

They really weren't very good last season though, with a very good squad for that level. So I think he got quite lucky in that respect personally.

This season he is gradually improving though I would agree.

I agree with that and they started this season like it. It was strange watching a team refusing to counter attack and some of the players couldn't do what he was asking of them but they have improved significantly and that's down to him too. Who knows if he can keep improving them.

They are still 5 points behind us amazingly! I didnt realise there was still that much of a gap.

They're not making up 10 points on us, it just won't happen.

I get we're in a horrible run of results (not necessarily form) but just no.

Unlikely I agree but two games in hand and a home game against us don't make it impossible. It remains possible until we get a couple of wins under our belt.

One of their games in hand is at home against Man Utd on Wednesday and so far they've drawn one and won the rest of their away games this season.

I don't fancy Fulham too much there.

Games in hand are always massively overrated.

If we lose every single game for the remainder of the season then of course we would get relegated, but that isn't particularly likely. We aren't playing poorly enough for us to continue picking up less than we should. Not going to be a vintage season by any means but we aren't going down.

Do feel better when reading this but I will dig it up it the worse happens😉

I don't disagree, but I suspect most of us are looking down the table not up. It's highly unlikely Fulham will win both their games but even a win or couple of draws will give them hope.

Can see where DW is coming from 10 points at the bottom is a much bigger gap than at the top of the league.
Fulham are much improved but are very much drawing more than winning.
It would eclipse the Saunders fuck up of 2013 if conspired to get ourselves relegated this season.
But you just can’t dismiss it as being impossible scenario.

One is United (I'm saying no, United aren't actually very good but they are top of the league and they do get astonishing luck all the time)

One is Burnley (well, they can't both win)

I get it to an extent when you're at the top of the Championship and it's a good team at that level who probably will make up some points. In this league when it's the absolute rubbish, they won't. They've won two all season.

12 more points and you’re asking Fulham to achieve over a point a game to make parity.
We can win a couple then draw our way to safety, as said if this group of players manage to get us relegated it would be a humongous blot on their CVs.
