The Film Thread

Watched Zodiac and Tag this evening. Two very different films, let me tell you.

Watched 'a walk in the woods' based on the Bill Bryson book - decent enough, but the thing that jarred was Robert Redford playing the Bryson role.

If you put them next to each other they were twins as much as Schwarzenegger & De Vito were. Bryson is no doubt a lovely man but Redford he is not (any more than I am).

If you shut your eyes then the characterisation was fine but watching a film in that way negates half of the experience. Pity as the rest of the characters were fairly true in my minds eye to the book.

Promising Young Woman is brilliant. Very different and every woman should see it.

Watching Jackie Brown after a good few years. Still stands up as a very good film.

I’m very much a product of my environment. 90s Tarantino is just me, especially after an extended break (and a few glasses of wine). The soundtrack is superb.

If you think the wine may make you want to give your opinion on Fabio a few dozen times, please turn off the internet and go to bed.

I havent seen Jackie Brown since it came out but I remember it was a good movie.
Bridget Fonda looked amazing in it
