Loan Watch 2018-2019

Absolutely thrilled for young Bright.

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.
Continued his run in a team with another full game in an impressive 3-0 win against Middlesborough. Even had the Villa fans singing his name at one point so he must be doing something right – almost as if he shouldn’t have been judged on one game (out of position) after over a year without competitive football.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

He’s putting himself a useful goalscoring record together is Bright, scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 win at Posh. Put a ball through for his teammate to score only for it to be ruled out for offside. Scored after pouncing on a poor defensive header and smartly knocking the ball past the keeper on the volley. Stayed on for the full 101 minutes played.

Jordan Graham - Oxford United, League One.

Another busy but largely frustrating game for Graham who was subbed off just after an hour.

Ben Goodliffe – Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

Another full game in a 1-1 draw with Harrogate.

Harry Burgoyne – Falkirk, Scottish Championship.

A full game in a 1-1 draw with Partick.

Christian Herc and Connor Ronan - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

Both played the full game in which Ronan hit a fizzing shot which was spilled by the keeper into the path of his DAC teammate to equalise.

Rafa Mir – Las Palmas, Spanish Segunda División

Given a start under new boss Pepe Mel (nope, never heard of him) and bagged himself a goal within the first ten minutes . Stayed on for the entire game and nearly scored again but for a great save from the keeper – couldn’t stop his side from losing 2-1 though.

Aaron Hayden – Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier

A full game and an assist in a 4-1 win.

FC Jumilla. Leak, Deslandes, and Yang all started and played the full game in a 2-0 loss.

Subbed on: Benny Ashley-Seal (65 minutes in a 2-0 defeat)

Unused subs: Wilson, Miranda, Ruddy, Hanne.

Not in squad: Bonatini, Johnson, Goodliffe (no game), Csoka, Zyro, Ofosu-Ayeh

Pepe Mel? Didn't he manage Albion for a minute?

yeah. I can't tell if Sedgley was joking though haha!

This time last year there was talk as to whether or not we should sign Bonatini permanently for £5m. Some were in favour, some weren't, but everyone thought that worse case we'd get our money back. Now looks like we'll end up having to take a sizeable hit or continually loan him out.

He enjoyed that save!!

2 defenders looking at the player behind the keeper....SPEAK TO HIM FFS

Wigan got a goal at the Weekend as Jacobs nicked the ball when the keeper failed to look back.

And we find OUR commentators annoying. Imagine having to listen to that every week.

The keeper looked twice against Wigan!

Maybe they did but his Spanish is shit? Plus it’s one of those assumed ones, it’s not like the guys being sly.

Started scoring now he is back in the middle. Previous coach had him on the wing

2 assists for Ronan for Ireland U21s tonight.

From this weekend:

Jordan Graham - Oxford United, League One.

On the winning side against Bright's Coventry but didn't do much, got booked and was subbed with 10 minutes to go

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

A very quiet full game in which he didn't create any chances or have a shot on goal.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell – Rochdale, League One.

A full game in a 3-1 win over Scunthorpe and made a superb block to deny a one-on-one and an almost certain goal.

Donovan Wilson - Exeter City, League Two.

Worth a full mention this week for coming on after an hour, with his team down to ten men, and producing a brilliant assist for his team mate to grab a last minute winner - spinning round one defender, knocking it past a second before lifting the cross in.

Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier

A full game in a 3-2 win.

FC Jumilla. Leak, Deslandes, Hanne and Yang all played the full game in a 2-1 defeat. Hanne and Yang both had good efforts saved. Seedorf came on for the final 15 minutes for his first action in a while.

Jack Ruddy - UD Sanse, Spanish Segunda División, Grupo I.

Made his full debut and a few good saves in a 2-2 draw.

Unused sub: Afosu-Ayeh.

Not in squad: Johnson, Mir and Ronan (international duty)

The rest of the list didn't have a game.
