Must win matchday thread: Wigan (a)

Kim's corner comes in and Stears gets a great header and still Wigan press but it's worked out into Wigan's half. Carson clears, Bong has it but Hause makes a great save and long for Doyle runns. holds it but with Afobe running with a defender passes it to Golbourne, Boro lose 4-3 to Fulham, Brentdord win, Ipswich win, Kim's corner and stears makes a brilliant clearance who is fouled by Maclean violently clashing with Stears. Heroic clearance with a low diving header in amongst feet, the ref gives that dirty fuck a 2nd yellow and a red so at last he's gone.
Stears getting treatment.

Final whistle goes with a Wolves win with Afobe's 13th goal of the season.

Gotta go. Good luck Predictions above. Stearman MOM.

Good win and Wigan all but relegated. Shame Rotherham couldn't get the win allowing us to officially relegate them

Ipswich win so yes, season over.

In all honesty, our season realistically ended with a powderpuff performance ar Birmingham. Everything since then has been straw clutching and praying for 3 out of 4 teams to bottle it.

Edit: that should be 2 out of 3 teams. Stupid brain...

So we go into the last day of the season still with a tiny chance.....better than nothing.

It's not over yet, although it's highly unlikely it will happen.

When was the last time we really 'bossed' a game for 90 minutes?
We have had plenty of games where we have had 60% possession and lost. It's goals that win games not how much possession you have.

Yes, Walnut, but really 'bossed' a game, dominating for 90 minutes, giving the opposition no chance? Of course goals win matches, but there are other factors, such as not conceding soft goals and allowing the opposition to dictate.

Verdict thread open. Avert your eyes and comments, por favor.

5-0 against Rotherham and 3-0 against Fulham, two months ago.

It doesn't happen very often for anyone, let alone us. Have a look at Man City's form with their squad that cost over £300m.
