Live Match Discussion: 2020/21

To the annoyance of Fulham, Newcastle look decent this evening. Still expect Man Utd to win this though but just odd to see Newcastle not looking like a shambles
 
Graeme Jones has made a fairly positive impression on their approach to games since he joined. Still probably not enough to account for Bruce's incompetence mind
 
This is a management trait I really hate. Dubravka was injured at the start of the season so Darlow played. Not in a million years would he have been selected otherwise.

Dubravka is back now so Brucie Bruce is currently playing a miles inferior keeper out of choice, waiting for him to cost the team before he drops him and picks the obviously superior option.

Exactly. We are about where we should and probably will finish. Top ten would be an achievement.
 
Mmmm, maybe next week might be a little trickier than we would have liked.
 
OGS just looks clueless all the time. His team are playing rubbish (again!) and he just sits on the bench looking confused. United need to fuck him off if they want to challenge for honours again

Hes the gift that keeps giving he'll pull something out of the bag and luck out onto a result at PSG or bully the worst teams to keep himself in a job then they'll look utterly disgraceful again. His entire reign has been one or the other with nothing in between.

I don't get why he's still an man u. If he got sacked there are no clubs at that tier who would appoint me. He's not really done anything other than play Bruno Fernandes - I feel a better manager would be using Fernandes to really challenge the top teams, not use him to hang onto their coat-tails
 
Darlow charging out for no real reason there, essentially giving himself no chance unless James smashed it right at him and it happened to just hit him. Weird goalkeeping.

Newcastle shouldn't be losing.

Not worried about Semedo, he's been very good lately.

Yeah thought the same on the GK.

Semedo’s been good yes, but I still worry about him 1v1. ASM been giving AWB problems and I can’t think of a better 1v1 defender in the league off the top of my head.
 
2nd goal has seemingly broken the spirit of Newcastle

That wasn't a pen. Tiniest contact on his standing foot doesn't make him fall over. VAR really should be stopping that sort of stuff.

And then Fred was encroaching on the penalty. Not spotted either.

Encroachment only matters if they do something on a rebound. As it had no effect on the result.

Penalty looked one live and then replay shows not much contact. Man Utd and Salah get those, no one else does.
