Aston Villa 2-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Not commenting on the match as thats been done though went much as expected. If Ait Nouri had scored (which he should) then who knows, but it didn't happen. Can't accept serious criticism of GON - he has no real experience at this level and is still learning. He has achieved real safety for...

    Wise old gits

Find that recovery time needs longer now if I do anything strenuous. Used to be able to get up the next day and carry on - can't do that now and need a bit more time

Pav - tell me about it. Have a fairly large garden and was fine when I moved here at 60. Now 74 and it's more of an issue

Pav - good to hear that you are still here. I've got 2 years on your number so will have experienced all that will happen when you get to it Eyesight is worth having checked out - could well be Cataracts which will impact. Had both of mine replaced last year (a long story in itself as had a...

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Maidstone not Maidenhead - Get big George back for a welcome to Molineux again. Match itself shows the division in class to the Premier from even near to the top of the Championship, just that little bit extra quality when needed and we didn't play that well and suffer from a having no proper...

Man Utd 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Don't post that often nowadays as too much else going on. Watched last night with some trepidation & all pundits telling us we were certain to be relegated. After that performance they are all wrong or the standard of the lower PL teams has exponetially improved (it hasn't). The thing holding...

    The Car Thread

My son's also got a fully refurbed Mini body in his garage at home (plus all the engineering to get it back on the road) Mind you it's taken 8 yrs to get to this point so no idea when it will become roadworthy again - I have lost track of how many cars he has really.

    Pets

Thhink that the cat is on it's final journey now (it's approx 16 yrs old), but clearly has an issue which I think is kidney related and is now moving like the old lady that I suppose she is. Not showing signs of being seriously distressed yet & will be in the vets shortly, but is a day that was...

    The Car Thread

My son is currently completely rebui;ding a Ford Fiesta XR2 that he owns - space & equipment not an issue as he owns a car body shop. Recently did a full body refurb of a Capri 3Litre for a client & also owns an Escort Mk2 with full race lowering & brakes & an american 2 litre Pinto engine in...

    Arsenal 5-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Didn't watch any of it and had no intention of doing so - more interesting things to be getting on with. If Lop can't find common ground as to the way forward with the board then we need a fresh start ASAP. Not many of these that I would want to keep - Dawson (for a year or so at least)...

The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

Up the front will be the biggest problem - is Kaladzic any good, nobody knows as he only lasted 1hr before being crocked for the season. Fabio Silva - what do we do with him. Cost a lot and we need to see whether he has grown up enough to use. Scored a few goals though in leser leagues. To get...

    Bast signing this Season

I'm getting older - only just realised what I did with the thread title If it gave you all a bit of fun then that's fine - though have no idea what some of the memes & references are

    Bast signing this Season

Almost at an end - OK 1 game to go go, but Arsenal aren't going anywhere else and nor, probably, are we. Day out in the Capital with hopefully some sun. Time to look back - what is the most important signing we made during this this time? Lopetegui is obvious, but the other, for me, is...

    The R.I.P. Thread

Same amount of time for my Dad - had to abandon my family (inc a 1 yr old son) to go and live with with my Mum so she could get to the hospital daily as she didn't drive. Managed to get the little one in once so he could meet his Grandad and don't think my Dad ever worked out how bad his...

    Predict the Wolves Score

We will do a Merseyside double - Wolves 3 - Everton 0 God knows who will score the goals though - probably need a couple of own ones

    The R.I.P. Thread

Same disease as took my Dad 43 years ago at about the same age - would have hoped that medical science had moved on though clearly not & his wasn't the best end though all who looked after him did their best. Wasn't really a Smith's fan as my musical background is some 10 years earlier - have...

The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

That my eyesight appears to be recovering after 7 weeks & I can see what I'm bleedin doing again. Not completely there yet, but improving daily - now need to be weaned off the steroid medication - can almost drive again as well.

    Everton (H) 20/5: Build-Up & Match Thread

Wouldn't disagree with that list much, but would have Boly over Coady who could play in one place only - Boly was imperious for a year or so. Moutinho when he first arrived (and I still can't understand how we got him for only £5M) was a genius - always on the turn & knew where the ball was...

New - The things that really annoy you

Yes having other stuff does impact weidly on eyesight. This was out of the blue as a very minimal % of people have any issue with that surgery and there was no way anyone could have known it would happen like this as the odds are very long. Still I can still function so there are worse things...
