Birmingham City (A) build up 31/10

Looking like Mike Williamson from NUFC will be here on loan. Can't say I'm wildly excited at signing defenders Newcastle don't want, but at least it'll be a square peg in a square hole. Unless Kenny plays him on the left wing...

Fear not...Kenny will play him close in on the left, not left wing #rhombus

Jackett also singing the praises of Jordan Graham who's back from a successful loan at Oxford. In with a chance of playing at Blues

Anyone know how many we've sold for this?

I can't imagine that it'll be many, not with our current form, it being on Sky and the trouble there last year.

Something like that on Saturday, I assume. Wouldn't mind Price ahead of Coady but can't see KJ doing that - and Byrne isn't a left winger but we don't really have anyone else apart from Ojo who I've been less than impressed with.

I'd go with that team, but also Price for Coady, I agree it won't happen. I'd play Graham on the left, give him a chance while his confidence is high. I hope we haven't brought him back to do what we did to McAlindon a couple of times and be 19th man.

Why does KJ appear to not be overly keen on starting Price. I think he and McDonald are our best midfield partnership?

The $64,000 question. Prices record speaks for itself, the theory of Price not scoring or offering anything attacking wise is out there but I'm not sure that's reason enough in the big picture.

I think the key word there Frank is partnership. To me it's clear that McDonald plays best alongside Price and when he plays well so do we. I think Kenny sees Price's limitations and continually looks to upgrade but seems blind to the affect he has on McDonald's game. So even if Coady is a better player individually - which I would say is extremely debatable based on this season so far, as a pair he and McDonald are weaker than the latter and Price

Price really should have had a goal on Saturday. That shot was arrowing into the top corner before the defender headed it away (or it hit him on the head, if you were being uncharitable).

He was poor at Derby but Coady didn't do anything vs Brentford or Boro to further his cause, he's lost his way a little. Price for me in this one.

Maybe coincidental but I think Price may have met his match in Bradley Johnson which is no disgrace. Recalling last season Price had an off day at Norwich too.

I think it was more Hendrick a couple of weeks ago that Jacko struggled with. Johnson bullied McDonald.

Not confirmed to me, but I believe the team will be:

...................Martinez
Iorfa.......Batth....Williamson...Golbourne
...................McDonald
Henry.....Edwards....Coady.....Byrne
.....................Afobe

Ikeme, Doherty, Price, Wallace, Ojo, Graham, ALF

No real surprises there. Personally would have Price instead of Edwards. McDonald and Coady when put together just need someone behind them. I hope Graham gets a chance too.

For me i would go with this

...................Martinez
Iorfa.......Batth....Williamson...Golbourne
...............Price...........Coady
Henry.............Macdonald..........Byrne
.....................Afobe

Ikeme, Doherty, Edwards, Wallace, Ojo, Graham, ALF

I'd go for Pav's team too.

McD is not athletic enough to sit on his own & Edwards offers nothing in the middle, other than a goal threat. Our CM looks awful.

Doherty can't get a game in the middle of an injury crisis! Why have we resigned this bloke?

Edwards will be in there - so can only play him in one place.

McDonald drops back next to Price/Coady. Prefer Price as McDonald plays better alongside him & he's much less inclined to make rash tackles that could leave us a man down.
