Finally cracked and bought a bean to cup machine. Cost a fair bit, but it's flipping excellent. Plus not using the nespresso machine makes me more environmentally friendly (that's my excuse anyway )

Currently on Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Kenyan. It's really nice. All roasted bitterness and dark chocolate.

Found an unusual little coffee shop in Notts last week while I was trying to waste some time before a meeting, Outpost Coffee I think it was, place was a bit weird but the coffee was on point.

It hurts me to say it, but the centre of Birmingham is a much more interesting and vibrant place than Wolverhampton. When you do make it over I'll happily buy you a very good coffee.

It's about 20 mins by train from Birmingham to Wolverhampton.

That doesn't sound prohibitively far, depending on what matchday traffic is like.

I'll have to put it on the list of places to check out.

Trains! I always forget how much travel is done by train over there. More new things for me to experience! How exciting.

As for the coffee, that's far too kind of you. I won't hold you to it!

To be fair you've only got to go to the end of Colmore Row to get the tram to Wolverhampton, or walk a bit further the other way to get to New Street if you don't want to question why the tram stops so many bastard times in and around West Brom.

do they do decaf? Now I realise decaf is coffee with the coffee taken out but over the last couple of years I've had to limit my 'full fat' coffee for health reasons. Instant decaf is appalling, tastes like the stuff Baldrick served up on the front line. Recenty gone back to using a machine and some of the decaf through that is pretty drinkable

Don't think COVID has made me forget about this! Especially now that I have a big boy job and can actually afford to make the trip as soon as vaccinations have been distributed.

My bean to cup machine is nearing its end (overuse since lockdown), its a needy little fucker so am keen to look at alternatives. Anyone suggest a good option to make good strongish coffee (and no need for sarcy nescafe suggestion )
