QPR 1 - 1 Wolves what a bag of shit verdict thread

More insipid stuff. Ken - being as we aren't going anywhere this season could we at least try to play some football? We have so many poor footballers getting a regular game and players sat on the bench who never get a run. We were better second half but we could scarcely have got any worse. Van La Parra the sole positive, best game in a Wolves shirt.

Deserved man of the match VLP. Pleased with point. Would like to have seen Bryne but hey.

QPR were shite. And reminiscent of us when they conceded. If that clueless cunt in the dugout would've seen this we could've capitalised. All this does is further highlight Jacketts utter incompetence.

VLP doesn't sound too happy to still be at Wolves from that interview.

What I don't fucking understand is if Wallace is deemed not powerful enough by KJ, how is Saville fucking playing? Wanker. Prick. Bollocks. Shit. Oh and the game wasn't that good either.

Fans singing his name after the interview and he gives a few little claps, God I miss when Dicko and Sako used to come over and dance with us.

There's a good, passing team with some limited flair and creativity to be made out of our squad, notwithstanding injuries, but Jackett seems determined to make not losing a bigger priority than actively taking a risk to try and win. Clearly doesn't trust his defenders to cope without active shielding from midfield, and I can't really blame him, but the fact that we have such unappealing choices back there to choose from is mostly down to him, I'd say. (I also think a big part of the reason the defence looks so bad is its inability to play out the back, inviting pressure onto itself by hoofing it downfield, and that's a tactical choice the manager has mistakenly made IMO.)

That ten minutes or so in the second half today where we looked like we'd score reminded me a lot of the way the team played in League 1, which shouldn't be surprising considering the players we had out there. Far too cautious not making a more aggressive sub - Coady should've come off and either Bright or Byrne should've come on, we've should've gone straight 4-4-2, and really gone for it. Saville didn't have much time to impress, and it's going to be interesting to see if he's who Jackett sees as backup to Edwards (and, if so, does that mean he's going to get a run of games as number 10 if Edwards' injury is serious?)

RVLP man of the match, easily - all the best of his technique today, even if he still can't really shoot. Mentioned in the matchday thread that it's a shame we're not going to be able to see a three of Graham - Zyro - RVLP behind Afobe now, because I think on form that'd be a really exciting, creative front four. As it is I think we might not end up with anyone coming in, in which case I have no idea what Jackett's going to do, especially if Edwards is injured. Zyro on the left and Saville behind Siggy? Maybe Coady alongside Price and McDonald pushed up to number 10?

I actually think we were decent! Nothing special, but when we actually passed it around a bit, we looked tidy, quite solid, and occasionally dangerous.
ALF doesn't suit us in any way at all, he may as well not have played today, and that's not even a slight against him.
Lesson from today, play football and we are a better team.

Well that was insipid - thanks though Kenny, due to your inertia & caution when QPR were falling apart in the second half I got 3 points in the prediction league that I shouldn't have (and that's more important at the moment :) )

I thought we were okay 2nd half, VLP and Doherty both had good games, deal with that. I think my expectations are realistic about what we are aiming to achieve.

I won't comment too much as it's been on tele and everyone has seen it. We have an abundance of average players. I wouldn't want Batth, Doherty, Edwards, Henry, EEL, Coady or Le Fondre in my starting 11 for a team looking to make the play offs or more. I'd normally add RVLP to that list, but although inconsistent his crossing was a lot better today, he still can't hit a ball though, but still deservedly man of the match.

If you needed a moment to sum up Kenny Jackett as a manager then the 80th minute today was it. 1-1 better team, 8 points off play offs, 13 off relegation, finally forced into a substitution with one of your 3 midfielders going off, you have a forward on the bench and an abundance of defensive midfielders, you can try and win the game or try not lose......

Sorry but I thought for the away team we did well and more than deserved a point, VLP seems like a new player. I thought our worst player was le Fonz and we deffo missed Dicko/Afobe other than that a good display all round!

Only in the second half really - first half there was way too many 'lump it up and hope for the best' - like I said in the verdict thread we should focus on that kinda play all the time!

Also, apparently Edwards' injury doesn't look good. I have a bet on Doherty to be injured during our next game...

Poor standard from both sides. Fair result. Talking heads we are on the road to nowhere . Turgid tosh

First half shocking stuff, second much improved. VLP was excellent and fully deserved MOTM can't help but feel that performace was to engineer a move away though.

I can't fathom the team selection ALF can't play up top alone and 2 right footers on the left just seems madness.

I want KJ out and the sooner the better.

We played OK second half thought we could have pushed on with an attacking substitution.
For me Kenny is getting the least out of his players, its noticable the difference with VLP after
he has been out of the club. In five games time VLP will be back to sh!t.

First half appalling. Deserved to be behind to a pathetic QPR team. Second half a lot better, and we could have nicked it. Definitely a penalty for me, and Edwards should have buried his header. Saying that, QPR missed a sitter at the end.

Thoroughly uninspiring stuff again, I'm afraid. RVLP easily the pick of the bunch - a very good game and great to see. Apart from that, I am struggling for positives.

Ikeme - awful positioning on the goal. Apart from that not a lot to do. So one job, and failed at it.
Doherty - one brilliant run and shot. Bar that just so clearly not a left back it would be amusing were he not playing for us
Batth - HOOOOOOOOOOFFFFF. Massively overrated, and that is being kind
EEL - bombscare
Iorfa - best defender. In a tallest dwarf contest. Did some things pretty well to be fair, but looks gangly and awkward at times. There is a player there.

Henry - flukiest goal ever but we have to take it! Bar that he didn't seem to have much influence on the game at all. Rather disappointing, but cheers for the goal that earned the point
McDonald - anonymous floating through a game passing him by. This is a developing pattern. It needs to stop. Grab a game by the scruff of the neck and show why you are a quality midfielder ffs.
Edwards - should have scored with the header. Bar that absolutely useless
Coady - christ. Rubbish. Absolute mince
RVLP - Easily the best player on the pitch. Really good display. More of the same please

ALF - couldn't get in the game. Isolated. At least six inches too short for the game our manager has us playing. Not his fault, but it must be soul-destroying for him

Saville - came on. Did nothing

KJ - awful team. Awful formation. Only sub forced. Just fuck off.
