The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

So last year my mate lost his son and daughter (see post #2499 on the things that make you sad thread, if you want the story) and a random friend of the son crowd funded the funeral for both of them, plus the excess was given to mental health charities, anyway the same friend had started crowd funding the gravestone for them, but my mate had already got it sorted, the friend has told the crowdfunding page the money's not needed, and he'll refund, but people have just said give the already raised amount to charity anyway and are still giving.
It's nice to know the majority of people are still decent human beings

So after 4 and a half years I leave my current place of employment. Very bitter sweet but the opportunity I have moving forward is very exciting

Best of luck Ray. You'll enjoy not having to travel so far to work. Best decision I made moving to my current work location

I went the other way and moved house to suit work :D

Now there seems to be an annoying increase in frequency of exciting opportunities back where I moved from. :(

My good ladys happy, she has just took early retirement, with a redundancy package, and a pension. No shes very happy, im not . The list of to do jobs has just got longer.

Surely if she's retired, she's the one will be doing the jobs?

And that's what I'll be getting. 15 mins from the house as opposed to upwards of 60 mins 1 way. Hopefully I'll be home for the 4.30 news!!
Good on you UKY - when I worked (years ago now) moved house rather than job & exchanged an 80 min car journey for a 15 min walk across a park to work. Still can't believe than I did the former as didn't realise how awful it was till I stopped doing it.

Trouble was that I worked for a national firm & got moved elsewhere 6 months later & ended up with another 60 min journey :(

I subscribe to that (& they add 20% to my monthly payment & give bonus vouchers at times though usually when I have no funds in my wine bank) - won't turn up every month as only deliver when its ordered.

Some good stuff on there - if you have a bottle of one of the Carmen Stevens wines (a New Zealand blender) then you are lucky as all are superb. There are some really pricey wines on there (usually get at least one of those in my Birthday & Christmas cases) & a bit more than average supermarket prices, but far better
I didn’t realise carmen does virgin, she’s traditionally been naked wines - she’s a friend of mine (through my wife), and was the first black winemaker in South Africa - she’s a seriously amazing woman.

her wines bloody good too.

Moved from Naked Wines to Virgin as they gave extra £s to my monthly payment - have managed to obtain some Carmen Stevens blends off both

Agree that they are absolutely superb

Yes i do, but im no Golfer im afraid. Ive got too many hobbies, hence the Mrs is going to do all the jobs. My main passion apart from Wolves is my World War two Willys Jeep. Im obsessed with it. You only live one life so ENJOY it.

I often walk the woodpecker trail from Lickey Hill that goes around the golf course. I also have many hilarious pictures of Twatling Road, because I'm an infant.
