Wolves 0 - MK Dons 0 The not good enough result thread

On a different note did anyone notice that they had seen how we lose the ball at every throw in so their keeper kick for territory like a rugby player.

Do you really think Afobe randomly did that of his own accord? When Alfie came on KJ asked him to play no.10.

He didn't leave him isolated, our play left him isolated. Afobe was dropping deeper to try and stop us from just hoofing it up to ALF but that didn't work. He was also trying to do what a number 10 is supposed to do and link play, create, commit players by carrying the ball but he isn't a number 10 either so it doesn't quite work. I was critical of Afobe earlier in the season but i can't at the minute he's still giving it everything but our play is so far away from what he wants and needs.

Who gives a shit if four successive managers have picked Edwards? Two of them were useless thundercunts, Mick has always had a boner for work horses, and jackett is as beige a Championship manager as you can get. You can excuse Mick, as playing Edwards in the Premier League is asking for a different job than in the Championship. So the argument is 'Edwards must be good, if Stale, Saunders and Jackett like him' . Have a fucking word :icon_lol:

Where did I say Edwards was a good player? I just asked a question.

You didn't, but you inferred that he must have some redeeming qualities for 4 managers to select him. Del answered your question. A shame if it wasn't the answer you wanted to read. It also a shame that you prod away for a response and then go on the defensive when you are challenged. Classic WUM.

Here we go again.

I asked the question because four managers must have seen something in him. And Del answers as he sees fit, that is his prerogative.

Managers do silly things all the time. Edwards being selected by several different managers is an indictment on them rather than a seal of approval of his quality.

Roque Junior played for AC Milan and won the World Cup with Brazil but he was quite obviously a terrible defender.

And went deeper than he should have leaving Alf isolated. He was naive, and ineffective.

Personally I can't work out how you can call Afobe naive & ineffective but then praise Edwards and claim we lost creativity when he went off.

We're just going to have to agree to disagree here mate.

So why challenge his answer? A question for you. What qualities do you think 4 Wolves' managers saw in Dave Edwards to merit his inclusion?

I was responding to NWW. I tend not to read your posts, even if the inability to put mods on ignore mean that the odd one slips through.

Goodness me Phil, have I done something to upset you. I challenged Del because I did not say or infer that Edwards is a good player.

Regarding Edwards, personally I do not think he should be in the starting eleven, though he is a useful player to have on the bench, and he does pop up with a few goals.

Btw spare a thought for the Wolves fan from Stornoway I was chatting to on the train. All that way for a 0-0 with MK Dons.

You haven't done anything to upset me at all. I was replying to your post. That is all.

And I thought that you & I came up from a fair way out - real dedication

Edwards is crap, Ikeme a poor keeper, wrong personnel, wrong tactics/formation, KJ has lost the plot, blah blah blah, all or some of this may be true but at the end of the day the team we put out yesterday should have been capable of putting Milton Keynes to the sword, the fact that we didnt points to a lack of confidence or effort....or maybe the players we have aren't as good as we think and last season we were carried by Sako and Dicko more than we thought. It seems to me that the players have become complacent and need a rocket up the arse, not sure KJ can do this. I doubt that we will change the coach as this point of the season i.e. owner wanting to leave, mid table and not too many surefire options to come in.

Big question mark also hangs over McDonald's quality, we can harp on about Edwards not doing this and that, however McDonald is going so far backwards he'll be framed for JFK's murder at that rate. Nothing is coming from our so called creative midfield, in fact absolutely nothing is coming from the midfield at all. We have an abundance of midfielders in line Saville, Rowe, Wallace however a man I would like to see back and played is Lee Evans..

Evans I am a fan of, it will have been good for him to go and get games with Bradford rather than sit on our bench but I do think he could offer us something we don't seem to have at the moment.

A midfield of

----------Price-------

McDonald----Evans

Is good for this level. McDonald and Evans were doing well last season until november, but needed someone behind them.
