Wolves 1-0 Olympiacos: We're All (virtually) Off To Germany Verdict Thread

So you don't actually want a refund?

In that case until the draw for the League Cup is made AND we know if fans will be allowed to attend AND we know if we got a home draw, what would you like the club to tell you right now?

What has the league cup got to do with anything?

Ideally I would like the club to tell me that the 'credit for a European game in the same stand/price band' that I opted for but now can't be fulfilled can now either be refunded or transferred to a 'credit for a Premier League game in the same price band and if not available price difference will be paid/refunded' but any information would do.

Well as I gather you are a ST holder your options are the cost of the Olympiacos ticket being credited to your ST cost or a credit towards a League Cup ticket... OR ask for a refund. Is it that difficult?

You gather wrong Darlo...don't make him angry again

You gather wrong and most those options even if I was wouldn't be possible/practical this coming season so obviously it is difficult for you at least.....you don't work for the club do you?

You are right though it shouldn't be difficult so why haven't the club come out with any such options yet?

Maybe they're trolling you for some really lower effort lulz?

Until Season Ticket holders reply to their email asking about the people they want to be grouped with and their intention to go to games then the club will not have a clue about non ST holders. If all ST holders want to attend, with the stadium capacity, it is unlikely that non ST holders will be able to attend, it’s just basic maths going off the proposed % of attendance to be allowed.

We have until 31st August to nominate our groups and there is no real, concrete guidance from the government about attendance at football matches so I guess there is not a lot the club can tell you at the moment

It has nothing to do with any STH attendance the credit wasn't for a league game. The email is simply about groupings nothing to do with intention to go to games.

I fully expect non STH's to have no chance of any league games until back to full capacity (although I wonder where that leaves those who took a credit for the Bournemouth game), but they knew about the likely restrictions and no government guidance when they offered a credit for a European game so not sure how any of what you've said means they need to delay.

Or are you saying they probably shouldn't have offered people credits in the first place knowing full well there was a massive chance they would be unable to fulfil this promise? A) because it'll be a reduced capacity at best and B) because there was a chance we wouldn't even be in European competition. Then I tend to agree and feel that and this further delay is just a petty way of dragging their feet to hold off processing refunds.

Great supporter relations eh!

All I could suggest is ring the ticket office and ask for a refund.
You’ve said that you haven’t got anywhere with emails or messages so just ring and speak to an actual person

Why would I ring the ticket office and ask for a refund when I don't want a refund I want them to confirm what options I and the thousands of others who kept the credit have now got.

As for “great customer relations” I thought it was very clear that we would not be getting in to Molineux any time soon and so I just requested a refund from the outset and got the money back in under 14 days which I thought was pretty good

So... you have admitted above that you can’t see non season ticket holders getting into league games any time soon. You dismissed my suggestion that maybe the option the club is looking at is the League Cup and you don’t want a refund.

Again, what exactly is left outside of that?

Erm loads of options but it really doesn't matter what specifics I want I just want them to fucking communicate whatever it is instead of holding on to my money and treating us supporters like an afterthought...again.

Pal of mine has called and spoken to the ticket office even if you ask for a refund now they won't give it to you (deadline passed) and the ticket office are waiting on the club but can't give a timescale at the minute.

That deadline related to when there was a reasonable prospect of another European game to get credit for. That’s gone for at least a season so the club will no doubt arrange a full refund scheme in due course. Until they do the hands of the ticket office are rather tied.

Next time we’re in Europe you’ve got a ticket. Sorted.

Techincally they can't deny a refund regardless of what their policy is.

I hope the gaps a bit less then, I dont fancy being 80 at the match on a thursday night to watch us knock of Crusaders just to make sure I got my value for money

To be honest I should have taken the refund when it was offered under the current circumstances but I didn't. Personally I'm not bothered how or when they make good on it as long as they do, especially as they charged me full price for my daughter. Given the restrictions at the moment though I think it's pretty understandable that there's been no contact as they don't even know what they can offer people, they've already confirmed that they can't accommodate all STH at league games if fans can return so it would be pretty difficult to come up with a scheme for people who have ticket credit. I presume that their first port of call will be figuring out how to charge STH for their new partial ones, unfortunately the whole thing must a complete mess given the scale of it and I'd bet that they're not even fully staffed due to social distancing.

They'll come good at some point.

Aye it'll be a nightmare, not least as a major source of income is tied up in ticket sales and they have no way of knowing what is going on, if I emailed the club I'm pretty sure they would refund it if asked. As mentioned before I'm more concerned at the Grand Ryanair are just blanking me on from March.

STH who haven't claimed an Olympiakos refund are owed 5 free games. If the 8k or thereabouts restriction lasts for the season, they'd only end up charging us for one game.
