Espanyol (H) 4-0 to the wan-der-ers VERDICT THREAD

As The Bion said, we looked much better after switching to 352, though hard to tell how it would have played out if the score had been 0-0. I am still going to throw it out there: Does the team as a whole generally play better without Adama? Everything goes through him at the moment, and...

    January 2020 transfer window

Might be a question of guaranteed playing time re Berge. Even if we were in for him he might very well see Sheff Utd as a better option right now. Norway has a bit of a golden generation going and they are clearly very well adviced atm, all going to clubs where they are automatic starters more...

    Wolves 1 - 2 Liverpool Verdict Thread

We were brilliant despite the loss, pushed them all the way to the end. Poor marking for the first goal but mostly excellent after that. Jota really should have seen Traore's run down his right, though his late miss was probably trickier than it looked as he had very little time and space to get...

Watford v Wolves (A) - 01/01/20 Buildup and Matchday thread...

Both Vinagre and Neto are improving noticeably almost from game to game. Neto has great pace and all but I'm still unsure of how good he'll actually become. Vinagre looks likely to develop into a truly top class player, we'll do well to hold onto him imo.

Watford v Wolves (A) - 01/01/20 Buildup and Matchday thread...

Neto really needs to cut out all the silly (semi-)dives and overreactions. There is clearly a culture difference at play here especially with the Portuguese youngsters. You very rarely earn anything from it, apart from ill-will from the more old-school refs. Jota was doing it a lot at one point...

He is incredibly reliable as well. He can be counted on to run for 95 mins two times a week, rarely injured or suspended. Like Coady you always know what you get, and while both have their flaws that gives a very solid base to do our thing week in week out. I'd have TAA in any position. Behind...

    January 2020 transfer window

If Donck has the potential to be a really good defender though he needs to actually get the chance to play. In my view it's about finding the balance between developing players and buying direct upgrades. I highly doubt we will be spending £50 + this window, and if we want more than one clear...

    January 2020 transfer window

He looks like he has all the requirements of a top class old fashioned cm to be fair. He is apparently very ready to move on and would probably be available for £25m tops, including add ons. I've watched him a lot for Norway and a bit in the CL. He plays more of a holding cdm for the national...

    The Oscillating Wildly Thread

Brilliant read, Deutsch. As a comment on Bruce, he often comes across pretty obnoxious in the media, but apparently he's an extremely nice guy in private. Invites new players home for dinner with his mrs and always has time for a chat with visiting commentators and so on. On the PL-podcast by...

    January 2020 transfer window

He looks promising but would need time to get up to speed over here. I am only questioning whether that is where we should spend most or all of our budget right now. But if he is as good as people seem to think, perhaps we should?

    January 2020 transfer window

As for defenders I agree that Donck looks promising in that role and he is only likely to improve with age as he bulks up a bit. Unless someone of serious quality - in the Dias bracket, though I don't know too much about him personally - I would be very content to keep going with what we've got...

    January 2020 transfer window

From what I've seen of Olmo, in particular two legs of CL qualifiers against Rosenborg, he's not ready to make a difference in the PL just yet. Thought he struggled a bit when getting bullied against a high pressing team. One for the future perhaps but I am not sure he would be much more...

    Worst player ever

The one looking most completely out of his depth in my time (without attitude or lack of effort being to blame for it) surely must be Eggert. Poor lad looked completely lost.

    Frankenstein Wolves

Left Foot: Douglas Right Foot: Neves Finishing: SEB Footballing Brain: Vision: Moutinho Strength: Elokobi Speed: Costa Passing: Kmac Dribbling: Adama Heading: Fletcher Tricks: Sako Should be one for tackling as well: Muscat ...erm, no. That would be Boly of course.

Villa 2-1 Wolves: League Cup Verdict Thread

We played our youth team bar a couple of fringe players, none of them looked out of their depth, but we were as could be expected comfortably second best against far more experienced opposition. We obviously struggled to control the midfield in any sort of way and thougt our CMs looked very...
