Wolves 0-3 Brighton: Verdict Thread

I'd honestly give Moutinho the job, he is going that way you'd reckon and it's the rare type of case where you might appoint someone without experience. Or sack Bruno now and give Joao temporary charge anyway for 4 games, can't be any worse than now.
It's this kind of stuff that really infuriates me.

Gerrard and Lampard are fucking terrible managers who also played at a high level.

Playing ability is no indicator of coaching and managerial ability.

source? 😉.

The truth is the Ronaldo's, Bennie Silva's, Dias's etc aren't coming to Wolves, so we are left with punts who may or may not work out like Trincao, Neto, Jordao, Fabio etc
Scott sellars

It’s that or they’ll give it to Sellars or Tony Roberts.

Calm down, the point is obvious - we can't trust Fosun/Shi at the moment - clearly Joao needs to prove something but I recall a conversation that he was looking at management. I'd take Nuno back right now, but the problem is bigger than the manager.

They’ll wait till the end of the season and take stock, unless they’ve been actively looking and have someone lined up.

I wouldn’t entertain having nuno back. Love the bloke, but not a fan of people leaving then coming back

You're right, let's get him in... Must be good he's played the game at a high level after all...

He’d keep us up, as it stands we’re going down next season.
I don’t even want to know what Fosuns “panic station” decision is going to be.

We have this “great reset” in the summer and we sign 6 or 7 of Bruno’s players. We then have to sack him as we’re in a relegation battle. Who they getting in? Who is Mendes’ Big Sam? Who then has a squad of Hwangs and Kieffer Moore’s

Steve Davis a decade later than Langers' crusade?
He’s finished with the snooker commentary after the final and, although a bit left field, I’d be happier seeing him in charge of Wolves next weekend than the incumbent. Get him in.

Looking for something interesting?

Watching Bruno Lage's football for a year is an indicator of him being fucking terrible though. I don't care who we appoint, just not him.

Well, that 300 mile round trip is eight hours of my life I’ll never get back.

Boring, passive and unimaginative rubbish.

We go side to side and back again moving the ball so slowly that, if we do go forward, it’s at such a slow pace the opposition are able to unjust.

We have to be the slowest team in the league by a mile.

Today we played three central midfielders that can’t/won’t break the lines and venture forward. Against fucking Brighton. At home. Why, for fucks sake?

Hwang and Silva are beyond fucking awful, Saiss and Boly defended like pub players, Donk had absolutely no idea what he was doing (or where he was playing) and RAN looked like he couldn’t give two fucks.

I don’t care about losing. I’m used to it. I’m a Wolves fan. I’ve seen us lose to Grimsby, Cambridge and Aldershot. It’s not a new thing.

But watching us lose in that manner is unacceptable. They were shit. All of them. And they mostly weren’t trying. It could have been seven or eight today. It was Brighton. Not fucking Real Madrid.

Change the manager, the board and the fucking tea lady.

That was unforgivable today.

My issue was always the process rather than the person. We sack him at the end of the season and the process will be the same. Mendes has stopped being useful and is an active hindrance

End result isn't really any different to Morgan picking Saunders from his golf buddies' advice or any other chairman picking whoever he fancies at any given time. Only difference is Mendes not being a club employee but the alternative is Shi and/or Sellars picking and no-one thinks they know fuck all useful anyway.

Can't be many managerial appointments above League 1 that go to an open application, people line who up they want before they bin the incumbent 99% of the time.

I'm more worried that they'll actually not get in players to suit a manager's spec again tbh. They've seen what happens when you try and get a low block, countering team to do anything remotely out their wheelhouse. They'll just end up buying cheap, theoretically-flexible tat that will mean they can change managers and 'styles' without having to rip the whole squad apart.

Fuck knows. They don't know what they're doing, so fuck knows how we're supposed to second guess it.

He's not been wholly terrible like Lampard or Gerrard who are genuinely clueless. He's nowhere near as bad as Bruce. And at times we've played some really good stuff. We haven't been atrocious all season at all.

Since the end of February we've stunk the place out and it's clear he's not a manager but a coach, a sort of deluxe caretaker.

I'd be happy if he went too but he can take Sellars and that cunt Shi with him.
