Yes he certainly was - the best fullback in the UK in the late 60s/early 70s.

That great Leeds team of the 60s/early 70s has been decimated in the last couple of years. I always admired them but I never really loved the way they played.
 
Shit, that's devastating. Had the pleasure of seeing him live, always liked him from 15 Storeys High to Catsdown.
 
Blimey. I remember a year or so ago he was sounding very gravelly voiced on Cats Does Countdown and there was speculation about his health because of it. Made me wonder at the time if it was throat cancer.

Sean Lock has died aged 58.

That one has knocked me back a bit
I met him at a Comedy festival aftershow party about 10yrs ago. He was very dismissive tbh when all the other comedians were great banter and happy to meet people.
Still though, he was a good comedian,very dry, not many like him left now
