So with only 2 games to go it's a three horse race. Well four if you give Fulham an outside chance.

Leeds only need one more point to secure promotion and unlikely they will be overtaken now. The race for 2nd with West Brom and Brentford is the interesting story here.

West Brom:

Huddersfield A
QPR H

Brentford:

Stoke A
Barnsley H

Fulham:

Sheff Wed H
Wigan A


Fulham probably have the two most winnable fixtures but the other two have good home fixtures on the last day so it's unlikely they'll both slip up to help out Fulham.

You've still got to fancy West Brom with their two fixtures. I think we'd all love to see Brentford do it at their expense though!


I think Forest are safe in the playoffs unless catastrophe strikes and they lose both games. And the final playoff place is probably between Swansea and Millwall.

Albion have 2 games they should win easily but the Championship can be a git. Watch them lose to QPR only for Brentford to lose v Barnsley

Incidentally Barnsley's last two games are Forest at home and Brentford away. They need to win them both or they're down.

Maybe if they beat Forest you'd give them a slight sniff against Brentford. But if they're down by then they'll likely just roll over.

Relegation battle has been intriguing this season, Barnsley and Luton both looked dead and buried for a lot of the season but pulled it back. Barnsley are as good as down unless they win both of their games (Forest H and Brentford A) but before today had only lost once since the restart. Nathan Jones has done well back at Luton, they have only lost once also since football came back. Got Hull on Saturday and that is a massive game, lose and you're down pretty much. Hull have been insanely bad dropping like a stone, question of whether Wigan will be dragged into it too (and Wednesday?) Blues annoyingly salvaged draws against Charlton and Hull with injury time equalisers against both, bastards. Would be massively at risk of going down otherwise. Exciting fight.

Leeds are as good as up. Albion have two easy games on paper but could slip up. Would love to see Brentford come up have always liked them.

Yeah, West Brom look nervous to me. Just took the draw on Tuesday, which is fine but they have to win this one now. Huddersfield are terrible but still have something to play for and will just sit off them I imagine, which doesn’t suit West Brom much at all.

Albion will win the next 2 and go up, Brentford are by far the best side going into the play offs. However play offs I think again will not go that way have a feeling Fulham will go up to.

Right now I lean towards Fulham coming up also but really hope they don't, I do not want to see them stink out the league once again. Their defence is pretty much the same as last season, can't believe they still start Odoi.

Ideally Brentford come up through the play-offs, otherwise Forest. Like Fulham, Cardiff would be exactly the same as they were the previous season with their shit football too. From what I've read it sounds like Colin actually suggested Harris to the board as his successor, the less there is of anything to do with that man the better. Cardiff still have Boro to play as well as Hull so could cost his old team in the former. Most likely team to take their place is Millwall though with two winnable fixtures...

Football should be a meritocracy but Norwich, Bournemouth and Watford going down to be replaced by Leeds, Albion and Forest would enhance the league from a traditional club size perspective. You'd only really have Brighton, Palace and Sheff Utd who would be punching above their natural weight (imo)

Sheff Utd are fine, bigger than Burnley surely. If we're looking at 'smaller' clubs then it would probably be Saints or Leicester, not that I think either are anywhere near the level of Norwich/Bournemouth/Watford.
