That is how you kill the FFP worries then.

If you pay £15.8m but amortise it over the length of the contract, that is £3.18m a year for FFP. But then you have to remember that FFP is measured over only a three year period so the MAXIMUM value of the transfer for FFP is £9.5m or thereabouts.

I think we would need to be established in the top flight to go beyond five years. Simply because you are committing to the wages.
