Zenga appointed head coach

Walter Zenga CONFIRMED

Head scratching ensues.

That was quick. His record is thoroughly uninspiring, but let's see what he can do.

Oh ****, that's burst the bubble.
How will that appointment help to attract good players?

Guess the bookies knew what was coming then.

Just been reading about his managerial career over on the ever reliable Wikipedia. I must have read the sentence "after a string of poor results he was removed from his position as Manager" about 5 times. Really odd list of clubs that he's managed as well.

Not quite sure what to make of that, if I'm honest.

Thoroughly underwhelmed by his record.

If his name isn't sung to "We Like to Party" by the Vengaboys I'm going to be thoroughly disappointed.

That's the track record of someone who is crap at management, or a maverick who upsets people wherever he goes.

Been at 10 clubs and only been any good at one of them (Catania).

Difficult to see what Fosun are thinking here.

He'll be done before Christmas.

Absolutely ridiculous appointment.

He was in line for the Southampton job two months ago - practically confirmed by some of the national press. I guess he can't be THAT bad?

In the stands for todays game which Rob Edwards will take charge of

For God's sake give the guy a chance. He may be crap but we have to see what he as to offer.

He's had 16 managerial appointments and lasted more than a year three times.

FFS.

I'm a bit stunned, his track record is beyond appalling but I will give him and Fosun the benefit of the doubt.
