Is Anyone Paying for the Wolves vs Palace Game?

Having thought about this a bit, I'm not going to pay for it nor am I going to stream it. I'm actually not that bothered about it, bit worrying to be fair.

I know how you feel. I'll have my phone on for goal alerts and hope we win, but won't be paying to watch it or looking for dodgy streams. To be honest I just want this season over with -stay up, give some younger players experience and lets have proper football again in August.

That is pretty much exactly how I feel.

I was thinking yesterday how my kids are really not bothered about Wolves in the same way they used to be - partly that's getting older I guess, but they (and their friends too) were football mad - they just about pay attention when Wolves are on, but aren't watching any other football at all. Then I realised that I'm pretty much the same.

Its interesting how this nightmare has affected our joy of football. Seems the people who go to most games have been most negatively affected.
For me, its been the most I've been able to watch Wolves ever. I have missed going to the 6 or 7 games we usually get to but from watching on tv its been no different, I hardly notice there's no crowd, we do have the artificial crowd noise on which doesn't bother me. I can understand that for folks whose matchday normally consists of the atmosphere and meeting up with mates in the pub before/after, it must be a bit shit

I'm still watching as much as I ever did and I still love my club as much as I ever have done, but there's a definite hollowness to it.

If I were going to the game tonight I'd be buzzing already, counting down the hours until I get the train up, see my mates, have a laugh and then get right behind the team. Sitting on my sofa and firing up an app just isn't the same.

Beats having no football at all though, that was a nightmare.

The way we play has become a bit sterile, I put a lot of that down to the lack of fans.

I believe that the Premier League need to create an almost 'Netflix' style platform. Where you could pay monthly for all of the premier league game. They could include the championship in that also.

I have a chromecast but I wouldn’t really know where to find the ‘material’ to cast in the first place. I’m useless with that sort of thing.

I have found it via my phone before but not ones I can cast I don’t think.

I can't say as I've noticed a massive difference overall, think it sort of balances out where you get some games lacking intensity without fans (United v Chelsea cautious snoozefest last weekend) you also get some go the other way where teams perhaps open up a bit without the pressure of fans on their back.

It's certainly going to be completely different for fans used to attending more regularly as that's a much more immersive experience, even dropping to regular TV viewing in normal times would be a bit of a come down I imagine. There's only last seasons Europa League games that I've attended with any regularity in recent years but can't say as I miss the actual game from that compared to now, the social side is a bigger miss.

It's the closest thing I get to normal lately so damn right I still look forward to Wolves matches. Agreed it's nowhere near the same (how can it be? Especially for people who attend games) but I couldn't imagine not watching Wolves at all. Fuck that.

I haven't been to a game in 15 years. Watching on tv there has always been the atmosphere of having a passionate crowd to help bring out some excitement. Half empty stadiums are only ever half as enjoyable. With no crowd at all the games seem so cold and sterile, even with fake crowd noise. I might catch a few minutes here and there of other teams, but watching a whole non-Wolves game is not an attractive proposition. Wolves I will watch, because it's Wolves, but it is more difficult to get worked up. I still cheer when we score, but can also walk away for 5 minutes.
