Anyone catch the soton game? Have Brentford started to wobble?
Had it on it the background whilst doing something. But all I can report back is that Thomas Frank needs to learn how to chew gum properly.

Just imagine we got to the FA Cup Final and score that goal as a winner. Probably the highlight of my (Wolves watching disclaimer ;)) life. Celebrate like mad with my kids. Then, 3 minutes later… If it were the other way round and someone pointed that ‘block’ out hours later I wouldn’t be up in arms either. Fckin hate hate hate VAR.
Largely i agree, however i did think the "drama" that the Cambridge fans endured against Newcastle must have been exhilarating?

They scored - celebrated that
Then they had to worry about VAR as it was analysed, so they were nervous as fuck
It was given - they celebrated again.

And the opposite is when your team concede a goal, and go through the emotion of that, only to find that VAR has disallowed it, and then have the joy of that reversal.

I'm not sure I can.

You are advocating 3 minute+ checks for all goals. Villa's looked dodgy on a couple of levels, neither of which were the reason it was ruled out, without that you have a 10 second check and the game carries on. There is no way that block even gets noticed otherwise. If you are disallowing that yesterday, ignoring whether or not it should or shouldn't have been then you are advocating a post mortem on every goal from every angle going back essentially to when the team who scored the goal won the ball. If that's what you want then that's your prerogative, but in the eyes of most the game slowly dies in front of us
In rugby league the review automatically starts from when the ball is played. The difference being that the referee tells the 'bunker' what to check i.e. offside, obstruction, grounding, knock on, etc.

Even in real time how can Marriner think that was a penalty?

I'm still so annoyed by our performance at Norwich.

Since that game they've scored 1 and conceded 17 in 7 league games.

3-0 down with 5 minutes to go. Medical emergency in the crowd and Harry Kane spends the downtime moaning to the officials.

🤔 Maybe... Barely a foul, Jota runs into his leg...

Yes I think Jota makes a massive meal out of it, but he does that and once the ref considers It to be a foul, I think it has to be a red. Goalkeeper would have got the ball imv, which really just means it was brainless from Xhaka.
