Nuno being "difficult" is just because he stands up to bosses who know nowhere near as much about football as they think they do. I know Nuno made some high profile fumbles in the transfer market (letting Jota go because of Adama's purple patch, for example, and also possibly being the person who made the decision not to sign Vitinha etc), but he also stuck firmly to his guns when we were having shoite like Guedes and Hwang foisted upon us. Ultimately, without a proper director of football in place, the manager has to be firm on this kind of thing in my view, it's just that insecure egotists like Lim, Shi and Marinakis can't cope with it.

I could never understand why Nuno went to either Spurs or Forest . Neither club / owner was suited to him .

The reputation of the Forest owner is well known and was known before Nuno went there - falling out with him can hardly come as a surprise to Nuno .

He's walked away with a massively enhanced reputation. Should be favourite when Amorim gets the boot.

My boss is a Forest fan and he's never had the love for him we did. You'd think he would after what they did last season. Just before it happened he was saying how Nuno won't play any of the new players he'd asked for.

They've always been ridiculously arrogant (not all of them obviously). You'd have thought that their time in L1 would've humbled them slightly but it appears not.

I like how they (Forest) have the 2 stars above the club crest on their shirts... like it has any relevance in the here and now or means anything to the "modern" football fan.

They won those stars, they have the right to wear em, we’ll never win the champions league/ European cup in consecutive seasons

Not for me, fair play to them. Celebrating that success is fully justified.

Watching them get bent out of shape when they are referred to as Notts Forest however, will always be humorous.

The only 'Stars' that I find ridiculous are the 5 above the Rangers crest.

Stolen Valour.

That's fine... but you ask someone under a certain age and they won't have a fuckin clue... they look at Forest as though they've just arrived.

You can call it ignorance but that's how the majority of football fans brought up on Sky will see things.

Forest will only just have appeared on some people's radar, that's just how it is.

Under a certain age, that’ll be people who think football started in 1992, and “support” whoever is popular now, Liverpool this season, Man City a couple of seasons ago

Well...1992 is 33 years ago... that's a long time.

Put in perspective when Forest last won their European Cup if you went back 33 years you'd be in 1947. For me that seemed like a different age!

I'm not going to be any less proud of our history just because some snot nosed kid hasn't heard of Stan Cullis or Billy Wright.
