Ex-Wolf Watch

I thought at the time that he was lucky to get another try in the PL.

I was harder on him than most, but IMV he really was terrible those last two seasons.

Galatasaray take the title and Mario ends the season with a medal (enough appearances?)
Also playing for Kayserispor was a certain Nazon, Duckens

I don't see how anyone can make these kind of assertions
Because he needed a change of scenery mentally more than physically. He'd been a pale shadow of himself for 18 months and there were no signs of improvement. Fans although not getting on his back had largely run out of patience- have a read of the post match threads of that final season. That form continued for the first half a season at Fulham, we played there in November and he was horrendous, really sad to watch. Continuing to play like that at Wolves would have just broken him more

Fair enough, i don't think it's necessarily delusional to think he could have recovered at a place he was loved though

I don't think it would've been long before the sympathy leaked into resentment tbh. I agree with TT, he wouldn't have recovered without the complete change

Not proud of it, but it already had for me. Not completely but definitely starting that way.

The props he got out after scoring did my head in, especially when VAR then scrubbed it off.

I don't disagree with the decision to let him go, but i wouldn't have said someone would need professional help for wanting him to stay.

Saying Doc could play RCB in the PL would have though!
