Watford 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Agreed re switching the wide men - it freed Adama up and tbf he did some good work 2nd half but at the same time it neutered Trincao a bit and he drifted out the game. Shame as he was excellent first half - love players that glide around the pitch like that. But, good thing is, we have a bit of depth available now with Hwang and Podence and they both played their part, so promising there.

Neves was very good again. And that was probably the most dangerous Semedo has looked since he joined us. Cliche but the fact he's getting into those positions is a good sign.

Big chance to kick on now, let's go.
Before the game I saw the bench and thought for the first time we looked like we had more options than a bunch of kids. Quite a decent looking group of subs really. With Neto and and Jonny still to come back there is definitely room for some optimism…

Didn't see the game but one of those where I think the result is probably a bit more important than the performance - not that we played badly!

Is there anything to be concerned about with Raul?

Two monkeys off our back at the same time.
Got no idea how we played, the only time our stream worked after the first 20 minutes, Watford were on the attack. Can't wait for next Saturday, our first visit in over 18 months

Also, I'm not sure why the 2nd is a scruffy goal? It looked like excellent approach play with some silky skills from Podence before crossing to the back post, little bit of chaos and then we score.

yeah not many people can cross it like that, turning on a small coin and put it in like that..guess it is down to his height and skill

Just seen the brief Sky Highlights Raul should score from his header, great flick from him for Semedo's second chance which he should also score from. Great to get a win though

Decent performance but oddly worse than Spurs and United as a whole.

Odd decision to take Trincao off and not Traore who was very poor today. Pod and Trincao behind Raul could be wonderful to watch. Watford couldn't cope with either's movement.

Neves was magnificent and Kilman continued his exciting form.

Thought both fullbacks were very average first half but were excellent second. We look so much better playing at a high tempo and whilst Hwang was pretty dreadful for his cameo he scored so who cares. Like Raul he'll get better.

I thought Saiss was very good today and made some excellent interceptions and passes. Should've scored at the end of the first half but that aside was excellent defensively against the tricky Sarr.

Yes, maybe when Adama is injured or suspended or at a very busy schedule, dont think we will drop Adama otherwise, especially if we want him to sign a new contract
