Ex-Wolf Watch

Really enjoyable game Roma v Betis at the moment, with a double helping of ex-Wolves players on the pitch.

Big win for my local team Basford tonight vs Hednesford.

Last minute own goal winner by Keith Lowe.

Shame, would've expected him to get some decent game time.

They're looking a bit bereft up front all of a sudden. Ronaldo, Felix, Guedes, Andre Silva all out of form, no Jota or Neto. Might see a lot of Ramos and Leao (or even Trincao!)

Feels like he's a bit of a figure of fun on here at times, don't think you could ever doubt his commitment though, decent piece on him here.

Back at Molineux he became an integral and experienced part of the team during Kenny Jackett’s first season and that League One Championship, and was comfortably Player of the Year the following campaign when Wolves went agonisingly close to reaching the play-offs.

He bloody well was not, that was a ludicrous choice. Sako or Dicko should have walked it and McDonald/Batth/Golbourne were miles better than Stearman too. It was our fans doing their usual "who played well in March and April" deal.

Be fair, this one has only been eating me up for seven and a half years. He's nae Mark Rankine.

Matt Doherty starting to get a game again at Spurs . Conte publicly knocks him one week and starts playing him 7 days later .

And one more thing - Doherty looks likes someone that has eaten no food for a month .

The Conte quote on Doc was taken hugely out of context though. The killer line we all laughed at wasn't the full story so he never publicly knocked him.
Essentially he wasn't fully fit so he said he can't pick a team with unfit players as he isn't stupid and doesn't want to lose

He's only back in because Emerson Royal has been banned from league games. Got sent off vs Arsenal, three match ban which finished last night.

He was awful last night, as was every Spurs player bar Lloris.

Fact of the day just heard on the wireless
with Doherty starting tonight for Tottenham, he is first Irish player to start a Champions League game for an English club since the 2011 semi final between United and Shalke when both John O'Shea and one of our favourite ex's Darron Gibson (who also scored) started!

Mad as it is to see Doherty in the Champions League, struggling to comprehend (and I know some bad players have got a long way in it) how Gibson starts a semi final (even with Utd 2-0 after the 1st leg away).
