Trump

Yes, probably in the conventional sense. Trump will drag it through the courts for months though
Not if Biden wins WI, MI and NV. That gets him to 270 and the win and we'll know that today I would think.

Trump can whine about PA and GA all he wants then, he'll have lost.

It's hard to not be angry though
It's been a frustrating few years, but I don't think just waiting for everyone to come round to your way of thinking on their own is much of a solution, and in fact is a bit arrogant. We need to read the room a bit. Irrespective of all Trump's fraud nonsense, he would probably have won hours ago if it wasn't for Covid.

You're never going to win over Proud Boys or NF/BNP types, but there are more moderate people out there who seemingly don't trust centre-left/left parties to run their countries, and they can be convinced. But it needs working at

Bloody hellfire, but this is close.

Biden probably has the edge, but it's a proper squeaker.

Yep! Need the outstanding votes from Detroit to come back as a large blue chunk

If you'd like to explain how Donald Trump isn't a piece of fucking shit then I'm all ears.

That's not the point though.

There's an exit poll that says Trump did better in 2020 than 2016 with every race and gender except white men.

People (including poor and ethnic minorities) will have voted for him because they emphasise job creation, aspiration and the lowering of taxes.

Same as the working class who voted for Thatcher

I said earlier in this thread why I think trump is doing well. He aligns to what a lot of people think.

I'm not sure how you can such a vast proportional of the population.

Exactly, and I don't think that will ever change.

People will choose to pay lower taxes over having better state funded services

I thought this was an interesting take on why people are being influenced to vote the way they are

That's the question! I obviously don't have the answer, but I feel that anti-populist parties and voters should listen and be wary of hubris for a start

Isn't that just the usual 'ordinary people are thick and can't be trusted with their votes and Jezza would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for the pesky electorate' line?

No, it's a call for fact checking fake news.
Yeah, I would agree with this.

People can get away with saying anything with no consequence. If Trump loses and his supreme courts effort fail, he will denied he ever even attempted that.

Ten days ago Johnson laughed at Starmer for suggesting a national lockdown.

Piers Morgan (ugh) even showed Farage a clip of Trump saying to drink disinfectant and he just refuse to acknowledge it.

And nothing seems to be changing.

Right, with the updated Wisconsin and Michigan figures... Biden's probably got this.

Don't think it's impossible that he takes Pennsylvania and Georgia, and this whole thing looks less tight in hindsight.

And those who choose to ignore this fact do so at their political peril.

Do people in the US spend hours watching and waiting for the results from Walsall South and the like?

I'm sitting watching for updates from Wisconsin and Michigan more than I watched our own election last December!

Same, I've barely left the sofa since 10 last night, slept down here with the SSN on and woke up every few hours, half hour of news, couple of hobnobs and then nap again. It's really quite pathetic

Just so I’ve got this right...Biden wins if he gets NV, WI & MI? He’s up in 2 of them and only narrowly behind in MI.
