What are you currently listening to....

I fucking love Cradle of Filth.

Listening to a lot of Amon Amarth at the moment. Brilliant stuff and just a little tiny bit Viking, but you really wouldn't notice.

This just came up on a random selection in Spotify. Just one of those perfect pop songs

Johnnie Walker's Rock Show on Radio 2 (& I know that this is a bit mainstream)

An hour of the life & times of Led Zeppelin - talky bits with Page, Plant et al plus some really good music

I know why I don't bother with moving images that often

Back behind the (electric) drumkit tonight, first time in about 8 months that I have played drums and I've played along to Faith no More "King for a day, Fool for a Lifetime" and some Pearl Jam

The Americans - I'll Be Yours

Really like this album - one of their songs came on my Discover Weekly the other day so I thought I'd give their album a go. Nice Americana/roots type stuff.

you wouldn't notice?! I don't think you've been listening particularly closely, mate. :icon_lol:

Prediction of Warefare is still one of my all-time fav metal songs. that whole album (With Oden on Our Side) is pretty good.

that sounds rad as hell. :icon_lol:

bloodstock is a great festival of the VERY heavy about ten miles from Wolverhampton (well maybe twenty). I have been a couple of times. A great weekend that normally takes a week to recover from.

I supported Amon Amarth in Derry city 15 years ago. Mad scenes, the singer drank red wine from a cattle horn.
Plus it was Bloody Sunday anniversary and there was a huge amount of tension in the city.
Our gig ran over time and the venue was turning into a nightclub at midnight, so once all the metallers got outside, we.were greeted by hundreds of booing rave kids. Once the bottles started flying we ducked into the nearest cab

Had a frustrating day at work yesterday that left me feeling quite annoyed/angry.
Decided to pop a bit of happy music on. So White Zombie's Astro Creep 2000 was played very loud in the car on the way to a bowls match I almost forgot about.

After seeing a discussion on Twitter regarding Birdhouse in your Soul I am now listening to They Might Be Giants. Flood is one of the oddest albums ever made...and I love it

You do surprise me :icon_wink:

TMBG did a thing similar to underworld twice, through 2015 and again in 2018 where they wrote and released a song every week. They actually did the whole 52 brand new songs too, unlike UW who are closer to around 40 new tracks with rare stuff inbetween. Saw the other day TMBG have been going since 1982! that's some longetivity!

First record I ever bought (second hand & cheap). Why - who knows (it was a long time ago)

Had an extraordinary voice though.

Definitely Maybe is 25 years old today.

Gave it a listen earlier and it's still a cracking album - timeless. Certainly Oasis's best work.

Married With Children was probably the first song I ever learnt to play on guitar.

I've been watching this as a) I am slightly obsessed with Pinegrove and b) I am feeling nostalgic for live gigs. There are very few things in the world that bring as much joy as singing at the top of your lungs with several hundred strangers while watching your favourite band.

(No idea if I've linked the video right by the way)
