Wolves 1-0 Leeds: Verdict Thread

Semedo seems to come onto his own with room to maneuver, should have easily been more comfortable if Neto had passed that chance to Willian

I'm getting a bit giddy thinking about where we could end up when Boly, Podence and finally Raul get back in the team

Good job we didn't send the Bobby Mimms of Portugal 'back to Europe' after all.
When has anyone ever suggested that you absolute helmet . We wanted him to show us his international form and thank god he has done that in the last two games. Get over this little englander shit . It’s as inaccurate as it is unamusing. Noob.

Rui was great tonight but they're saves I'd expect him to make. It was as much poor finishing as it was great goalkeeping.

He was good all round though. Did everything very confidently and commanded his box.

Much improved.

Semedo's best game for us I think, and the midfield two were absolutely fantastic. Notably higher up the pitch, Neves rarely (if ever) ran to Coady to take to ball off his toes today, and even got in the box in open play once or twice!

It was a good, even game, though Leeds probably edged it on chances created for me, particularly with some top quality set pieces.

From a game management perspective, I've no problem with us taking an age over throw ins etc after 70odd, and we didn't sit as deep as we have done when protecting a lead this season. That corner can fuck off that early though!

Jose can sometimes hold the ball up and lay it off to feet, but when Adama and Neto are driving in field he really needs to make a run to give them space and/or an option. I'm not a fan at all tbh, and I'd rather us see more of Fabio, even if it's half each rather than 80:10.

We played well, but we've got to be real and acknowledge we were probably lucky to come away with three points - but at least you could actually see what we're trying to do. A bit more movement up top and some better decision making by the front 3 and we can go into next season confident of getting back up the right end of the table

It's a direct quote from a poster on here so I suggest you pipe down or I'll go and drag it out.

I’m pretty sure someone said those exact words “send him back to Europe”... no need for name calling my friend

That was a good performance really, we've started to press higher and be calmer on the ball when we're pressed. Not relying on Adama and Neto to run down the line and cross it to no one is also helping. There's things to work on, attacking and defending set pieces has to improve. We tried to do the Southampton high line on the free kicks but players were not brave enough to hold the line and our delivery/set up from offensive set plays is woeful, we need to get Joao off them asap. Only other chance Leeds created was from Donk losing his bearings at the end. Don't think i've seen a Leeds game this season where they've created so little from open play. It's showing that Nuno was right about the solutions being inside.

I think being able to play this formation and maybe switch to 4231 in games or against certain opposition is more than doable with the current way we're approaching games. Add Boly, Raul, maybe another centre back and a more mobile midfielder and that's a very good side.

Bell whiff is much funnier.

Mel Whiff funnier still😂😂

Show me the post. I certainly didn’t see it.
Shit man, I wouldn’t know how to find it 😂

definitely said, possibly by Robert (apologies if you didn’t say it Rob) but don’t know how I’d dig it out

That team with Raul and Boly would be as good as we’ve seen at Wolves in my life.

Moutinho a year older would be an issue though.
