We're not even having to get out of second gear at the moment, yet another routine win where we didn't really have to try. Villa were beyond bad and they're down, Smith knows it and hasn't got a clue what to do.

Jonny MOTM with Dendoncker a close second behind. Beautiful goal from every aspect.

Agree with all of that

We just control the game so well... Rui made a save in the first half from greasy and I don't remember him making another. Controlled his area really well (again)
We really are quite good

Not a great game or performance really, but what was expected all the same. We've been so efficient since the restart and we've yet to look troubled in any of the matches. Gonna have to be better in the next three against better opposition, but pretty much impossible to complain with how things have gone since football came back.

Very comfortable. Perfect really that we’ve been able to navigate these three games without over exerting ourselves. Now got a week to rest and recover and go up a gear for the next batch of games, as they will be tougher physical battles I think.

Dendoncker was superb he did a job on Grealish and then the goal was so well taken on his left foot. Such a quality player to have when you consider he can play multiple positions too.

and Saiss survives the 2 match ban threat.

Played 19,18 & 17th since returning and beaten all 3 in at best 3rd gear. We’re a very intelligent side and game manage really well.
I said that one goal would settle to today and for once I was proved right, not a great game at all but we just have that extra bit of quality in the final 3rd, that’s what’s counted in the last 3 games.
Yes Villa restricted us at times but it counts for nothing if you’re toothless at the other end.
Donck MOTM did his job superbly and a great finish. Nuno tactics were spot on Grealish was kept quiet and in most parts we controlled midfield.

Villa, Bournemouth & West Ham have all looked bang average. Another very professional performance by Nuno’s men.

Id still have preferred us to go into the last ten with a 2 goal cushion though.

Lot of positives. I think the situation and atmosphere has really suited us, we like to up the intensity in the second half and grow into the game. You can see us improving after that first drinks break, we were playing some nice stuff by the end of the first half. Good finish by Dendoncker to cap off a good move, very comfortable. Justifies the decision to start him and he kept Grealish quiet (really needs to stop dropping so deep, he is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is). Excellent game management at the end to seal the win.

Grealish quiet (really needs to stop dropping so deep, he is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is).

To be fair to the scrote he had no choice.

When the line ups were announced I was impressed Villa had seemingly gone for it. 2 up top and Grealish playing off them. They then proceeded to play hoof ball and as we won 95% of those balls it took Grealish out of the game so he had to start coming deep to get the ball and when he has it there and zero movement ahead of him he is a passenger.
Villa made it easy for us today. Their set up should have meant we had some work at the back but it really was simple to deal with.

Grealish needs to be in a side where he’s not so relied on. He plays like he has to do everything. In the long run it’ll do Villa good to build a balanced side not so reliant on him.

" I mean if we played like we did today earlier in the season we wouldn’t be where we are"

true, you would be below Norwich

Exactly. These made me chuckle. Completely delusional.

The way it is, we own Jack Grealish. The owners have said irrelevant what league we play in now or next year he will cost anyone £80m.

Grealish is one of the best players in the league, wanted by some of the best clubs in the world, he's a very unique player that offers something that very few, if any other players can offer, no way he's going to go for as little as £50m, Man Utd had to pay that to buy Wan-Bissaka, that's just one example, if you look at all the players that Premier league sides paid £50m plus for last summer Grealish is better than them all

Very satisfactory result and top class coaching and game management. Just read the matchday thread and surprised its so negative, talk of lazy play and not getting going....its not the 50's, we've been playing this style since Nuno took over, think people better used to a pragmatic, controlled style or they'll be disappointed every week. Some saying Villa matched us! Get a grip, we never looked under pressure and created a number of good attacking moments which unfortunately didn't quite come off. I know this style takes some getting used to but it is the Nuno way and he won't change it while its so effective.

A few things.
Played 3 at the bottom and without getting out of 2nd gear have won all 3.

Vill restricted us today without ever threatening, they reall needed a win, probably should have gone for it more but that would have left massive gaps and we would probably have scored more.

One scrote on their forum reckoned they dominated the 2nd half at Molineux.

Not sure what game he was watching it certainly was not the same one the rest of the world watched.

Grealish is a diving prick at least three times he was not fouled yet dived like an Olympic high board.

Villa are really bad, they are not staying up and Grealish will certainly leave, he has some talent but needs to stop diving

I think everytime we’ve beaten one of Dean Smiths sides he’s made excuses or made out he was hard done by. Remember the famous whaaaabulance game at the banks he came out with similar crap and about how they matched us and that we were just better defensively and in the final 3rd. So basically saying we deserved to win.
