Hoever Boly Coady Semedo

Neves Moutinho

Adama Podence Neto

Willian José

Please don't play Max Burn at LB again Nuno.

Think a lot will depend on whether Vardy is fit or not. I feel Leicester are very strong in midfield with Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison so expect them to have a lot of the ball again but there have definitely been some positive signs for us on the counter since Willian José has come in.

Would take a draw now.

Same as the above for me but I would probably start Vitinha over Podence at 10 but I think it is close either way.

No more Kilman at LB thanks, as much as I like the guy, he can't play LB.

think that will probably be the team.

Saiss/Kilman could still be the left back if there is a concern over Hoever (who would look a lot better in a back four I reckon).

No Ndidi so probably be Mendy instead again in midfield for them. They are quite light in that area as they tried to let Choudhury go on loan because he clearly isn't in the thinking but they couldn't get Chalobah in?

I think Fofana and Castagne were injured during the Leeds game so maybe they might be doubts too, which would be a bonus.

Same team for me, though I have a sneaking suspicion Nuno might go for a back 5, in which case it's Kilman for Pod.

I just had a look on a Leicester forum to see what their mood is like (isn't great) to see one user suggesting they solve their striker issues by playing Soyuncu up top.

Cyber, you got something to tell us?

I'd be going 352 for this one, they absolutely have the players to exploit the space in behind us.

Rui
Hoever Boly Coady Kilman Semedo
Neves Moutinho
Vitinha
Willian Neto

Personally think we should be starting Emi Martinez for this one - he used to play for us and is in good form.

Can't disagree with Lycan's team. If Pod can press Mendy and Willian can do the same with Soyuncu there's no reason we can't have a go at these.

No Vardy would be a big bonus as Perez isn't anywhere near the threat in behind. We must stop Joao and Ruben picking the ball up off the toes of the CB's or fucking off into the full back positions as they did for the first half yesterday.

Much better when they are further forward and taking shots at goal!

Same team, except for Killman at Left Back. Coukd he replace Coady and play with Boly,?

Yes. It's what I had down for Arsenal.

As long as Hoever does OK its probably the best fudge until Jonny is back in a week or two.

Ndidi could be back according to Rodgers

Not that his viewpoint is any better informed than that of anyone on here when it comes to team selection, but Spiers thinks it'll be a back 3. Nuno has his win and will go back to safety first

Has Spiers been right about any formation changes this season?

Going back to a 3 would be a mistake imo.

We'll see. He may well play a back three but after the game at their place, we really struggled to get out of our own half with three centre backs. Think would be better off beating their press by being a bit more direct into WJ and having more players around him.

Fwiw my view is that Nuno ideally wants to play a 4 moving forwards. This season should now be about bedding that in properly even if that involves players who you don't want to be in it next in a couple of positions. Reassess if we lose 4 or 5 on the bounce but if not then stay with it and take some short term pain, where it happens. I appreciate there's a financial incentive to finish higher in the league but I'd rather finish 15th and have a strong platform for next year when our front 4 in whatever combination are probably already at the club than 11th with a hotchpotch. City would be the exception where tactically it would make sense to have an extra man to reduce space on our final1/3.

If 2 of Hoever, Semedo and Saiss are fit for Sunday then play a 4

I agree. I'd stick with the back 4, personally.

I'd go with Lycan's team. I can understand the calls for Vitinha, but for me, I'd rather persist with Podence for now. Not a huge fan of Neves & Moutinho in the middle, but worth giving that another go to see if Joao can put a run of form together. Would be extremely harsh to drop him for Donk after his goal.

My issue with the 4 is we simply cannot defend like we did v Arsenal. Maddison will have a field day picking the spaces we leave.

I presume watching the game Nuno has the same feeling we do and that is Kilman should not be a LB ever again, so if no one from the LB club & Saiss is fit, does he think Semedo and Hoever work better in a 4 or 5. I think he if he decides Hoever plays, we go to the 5.
